Owen Sound Police Charge One out of Over 1,000 Stopped During RIDE Programs

Police also say that they responded to more then 100 calls varying in nature over the weekend.

With Labour Day approaching and the Salmon Spectacular wrapping up Owen Sound Police were kept busy this past long weekend.

Owen Sound Police made sure to have a heavier then usual presence on the roads on Saturday night with multiple RIDE programs in place.

Police say they checked in on more then 1,100 vehicles over the course of the programs only leading to one charge.

A 37 year old woman was arrested for impaired driving and had her vehicle impounded and license suspended.

Police also say that they responded to more then 100 calls varying in nature over the weekend.
