Bruce Power's Summer Bus Tour Program hit record numbers this year.
Spokesperson Christopher Mercanti says 62 hundred people participated in the free bus tour, this is up by a thousand people from the previous year.
So successful was the Summer Bus Tour, that Mercanti says Bruce Power plans to build upon it and expand in 2020 to serve even more visitors.
Mercanti says the bus tour attracts individuals from across the province, Canada as well as international guests who come to learn more about Bruce Power.
The Bus Tour runs from June until the end of August and begins at the Bruce Power Visitors' Centre.
It has become a tourist attraction for many visiting the region.
The sheer volume of participants say Mercanti suggests there is a lot of interest in learning more about nuclear power.
During the tour, he says participants learn about how nuclear power operates, is maintained and what safety measures are implemented.
He says the bus tours serves as a great tool to promote transparency and remove the mystery that surrounds nuclear power.
