The centerpiece of Owen Sound's year-long celebration of Canada's 150th and Owen Sound's 160th anniversaries, Maawanji'iding (meaning "gathering" in the local Ojibwe indigenous language) is a ten-day festival with entertainment and activities for all ages. Most events are Free or by donation!
Come and enjoy exciting events all weekend long from Friday, June 30th - Sunday, July 2nd at Kelso Beach Park! With live music, circus shows, inflatable attractions, food and craft vendors, and of course Fireworks - Free for Everyone! July 3rd through July 6th focuses on community themed events including activities commemorating local artist Tom Thomson and War Heroes Billy Bishop and Tommy Holmes. July 7th, 8th, and 9th is the Waterfront Festival held at Owen Sound Harbour, including concerts, shows, events and much more.
