A grant is being made available to small businesses led by women in Grey Bruce.
It’s called RE3 and is being delivered through FedDev Ontario and Canada’s Regional Relief and Recovery Fund.
‘RE3’ stands for “Rebuild, Reopen and Revive” and provides non-repayable performance-based contributions of up to $5,000 for Southern Ontario based businesses led by women.
To qualify, businesses must have female owners (at least 51 per cent ownership of a business) and have been in operation for at least one year.
The program is looking to help small retail, sole proprietor and personal service businesses.
Eligible activities include: Acquisition of PPE, Workspace reconfiguration to accommodate physical distancing, and hardware/software upgrades to enhance online capacity, client servicing and accessibility.
Eligible work activities can be retroactive to June 1st, 2020.
The grant is being delivered through two regional economic development departments. Windsor Essex Economic Development is delivering the program throughout Western Ontario (includes Grey Bruce) and Northumberland is delivering it in Eastern Ontario.
