Ontario Finance Minister Rod Phillips says the Province’s 2020 budget will be released November 5th and that it will have a three-year outlook.
Phillips says it will make available every resource to help protect people’s health and livelihoods.
“By putting forward a multi-year plan next week, Ontario will once again be one of the leaders among Canadian governments and this is important,” said Phillips. “Because as any family or small business owner understands, having a financial plan is important, especially when things are uncertain.”
By end of March 2021, there’ll be another multi-year budget update.
Phillips says three plausible economic outlooks will be part of November 5th’s budget.
Throughout 2020, the Ministry of Finance has heard from over 8,000 individuals, organizations and businesses as part of numerous consultations, including the Ontario Jobs and Recovery Committee’s consultations and the 2020 Budget consultations.
Ontario’s 2020 Budget will look confidently to the future, but not presume any of us will have all the answers. It will be informed by extensive consultation. It will make available every necessary resource to continue to protect people’s health going forward
