Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced $20 million to support Canadian veterans organizations.
It will go towards creating the Veterans Organizations Emergency Support Fund, which will address shortfalls caused by the pandemic.
“This fund is designed to help veterans organizations keep providing services,” he said. “Over $17 million of the funding will go to the Royal Canadian Legion, Anavets, True Patriot Love and Vets Canada.”
Trudeau says the remaining amount is available for veterans organizations to apply for at veterans.gc.ca
