Public Health Grey Bruce is asking for help in finding the owner of a dog that bit someone in Kincardine.
The Health Unit says on Saturday, November 7th, at about 4 in the afternoon, a man was bitten twice by a dog while outside the Dollarama store at 371 Goderich St.
Public Health says the man approached the dog which he thought was leashed and friendly.
The dog is described as possibly a lab, black with a white mark on its chest and a brown spot on the side.
The dog was wearing a blue collar.
The Health Unit needs to confirm the dog doesn’t have rabies. They say by verifying the health of the dog, the victim can avoid post-exposure rabies treatment.
