Grey Bruce OPP say a hiker has been charged with assaulting snowmobilers.
Police say, Just before 1 in the afternoon on January 28th, they responded to a call about an assault with a weapon on the Ontario Federation of Snowmobile Clubs trail near Highway 6 and Sideroad 3, in the Township of Chatsworth.
OPP say two snowmobile operators were assaulted by a pedestrian that was walking on the trail as they rode past. The suspect swung a large walking stick at the riders as they went by. There were no injuries.
Police say they have charged a 60 year old Chatsworth man with two counts of assault with a weapon.
He has a court date in March.
