Kincardine has a new fire chief.
Brad Lemaich, according to a municipality news release, comes with “extensive fire and emergency service experience including 10 years as a volunteer firefighter and 8 years as a full-time Fire Chief and Community Emergency Management Coordinator in places such as Tillsonburg and Shelburne.”
Mayor Anne Eadie says being able to deliver core emergency services is crucial to all municipalities but especially Kincardine with its nuclear facilities nearby.
Lemaich will take over duties from interim fire chief Kevin McNeilly, who has been on loan from the Grand Valley and District Fire Department, where he has similar duties.
Mayor Eadie McNeilly for his service during a challenging year of Covid-19 which added to his responsibilities.
The new fire chief begins April 7th after his appointment by council.
