Saugeen Shores Police have laid 50 tickets during their Know Your Limit operation.
Having run from April 2nd to the 16th, police conducted the operation to target speeders on local roads.
In a release Saugeen Shores Police Sergeant Andy Evans says, usually when gauging increased enforcement, the detachment references the previous year during the same period, “in 2020 officers were employing a modified approach to enforcement, due to the many unknown variable and risks of the new corona virus pandemic.”
In looking back to 2019, Saugeen Shores Police say in the same reporting period, they laid 28 tickets for speeding.
