The Grey Bruce Health Unit is reactivating its telephone help line to provide Covid guidance.
The health unit says the help line — 519-376-9420 ext. 3000 — is available again after, “having successfully contained the recent surge in cases of Covid-19 locally.”
While the help line is not operating as a vaccine booking system, the health unit notes those who are not able to check its website about basic Covid and vaccine information can be assisted through it.
Residents are requested that when they call the help line, to ensure they are respectful to the representative as any rude, vulgar or crude language will not be tolerated.
Meantime, details about the vaccine rollout, including current eligibility and understanding how to book an appointment can be viewed on the health unit’s website or by downloading the new mobile app.
If you are looking to book an appointment, the health unit says in its release, the system only books first appointments at this time, with the majority of clients that use the system needing to book their second appointment when it is due 16 weeks after the first dose.
If you are looking to book over the phone, call 1-833-421-1999 between Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
