For the third year in a row, the Ontario Clean Water Agency or OCWA has been given a glowing report card for the drinking water of Saugeen Shores.
A drinking water system inspection was performed on March 2nd by a Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP) Inspector.
On March 29, the report for this inspection was issued.
The Saugeen Shores drinking water system received an inspection rating of 100%.
There were no non-compliance issues and no best practice recommendations in the report.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says everyone has done a great job and “people should have absolute confidence in the drinking water in the town of Saugeen Shores.”
Director of Public Works and Engineering Amanda Froese echoed the mayor’s remarks when the report was presented to Committee of the Whole in early April.
