And the winner is……Option B when it comes to the designs that will be painted on the water towers in Southampton and Port Elgin.
The towers will each feature the Saugeen Shores logo with the name of the community (Port Elgin or Southampton) below.
In a report to Committee of the Whole, Director of Engineering and Public Works Amanda Froese tells Committee of the Whole on Monday, May 10th, the winning design was chosen by the public through voting.
Over 1,800 votes were cast with Option B receiving the most at 785 votes.
Froese says contractors are gearing up to paint the towers before the Fall.
Deputy Mayor Don Matheson says he looks forward to seeing the towers decked out with the new logos.
Mayor Luke Charbonneau says “This contest was a lot of fun and gave residents the opportunity to have their say, Everyone was really engaged on social media, and I am happy that so many chose to participate.”
