Grant applications are now being accepted by Community Foundation Grey Bruce from nonprofit organizations and charities in the region.
Eligible projects could receive up to $30,000 in grant funding.
According to a release, regional charities and nonprofit organizations can submit a letter of intent to apply for a grant in order to support their various capital projects which assist local residents and communities.
Should any organizations or charities application be deemed eligible, they will be contacted with a link to the grant application form, which will need to be filled out by Sept. 15.
The priorities for allocating grants comes from the foundation’s 2016 Vital Signs report that outlined needs within the region, including health and wellness, arts and culture, education and lifelong learning, living standards, environmental, and community connections. When submitting their request for the grant, applicants will be required to outline how their project will address one of these needs.
Charities and nonprofits who are interested in viewing the criteria for the grant, can visit the foundation’s website.
