Grey County says it will not construct a County Transportation Depot beside the Old Durham Road Black Pioneer Cemetery.
In a release, the County says representatives have responded to concerns from the community regarding proposed plans for the property.
Grey County says it recently became aware of significant concerns regarding the proposal.
It says two follow up meetings between County representatives and key stakeholders have confirmed a Transportation Depot would not be compatible with the historic and sensitive nature of the cemetery.
As a result, County staff will recommend to Grey County Council that the Depot not be located at the site.
