The Mile Drive Trail at Harrison Park in Owen Sound will temporarily close today for upgrades.
The city advises the trail that runs through a forested area along the east side of the Sydenham River will be closed June 17-18 and June 21-22.
It will be open for use on Saturday and Sunday (June 19-20).
The Mile Drive Trail closures over the next few days are to complete asphalt resurfacing. It is currently gravel.
The capital cost of just over $45,000 for asphalt placement on the Mile Drive Trail is approved in the city’s 2021 budget.
