The next Household Hazardous Waste Day Event in Owen Sound is being cancelled in accordance with step one of the provincial re-opening roadmap.
A release from the City notes the event was initially supposed to be held on June 19. Having been cancelled however, the next will be on July 17 pending provincial restrictions.
The event is held at the City of Owen Sound Public Works Building on 1900 20th St. East, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The materials which can be disposed of include:
-Aerosol cans (full or partially full)
-Batteries
-Bleach
-Brake fluid
-Cosmetics and beauty products
-Detergents
-Disinfectants
-Glues and adhesives
-Household cleaners (includes oven, drain, floor, glass and toilet cleaners)
-Paints (liquid and solid)
-Pesticides, insecticides and herbicides
-Propane tanks
-Prescription medicines
-Windshield washer fluid
