The Grey Bruce Health Unit reported six new Covid cases on Monday.
According to Public Health, two people from Owen Sound, and residents of Brockton, Hanover, Arran-Elderslie and The Blue Mountains tested positive.
With eight previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load fell to 42. Two Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and another is receiving care outside the area.
More than 131,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
Seven Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Monday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
