The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports 28 new Covid cases in the region on Sunday.
According to Public Health, 11 residents from Owen Sound, nine from Saugeen First Nation, three from Southgate, two from Meaford, one from Arran Elderslie, one from Georgian Bluffs, and one from Saugeen Shores tested positive.
With 17 previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load goes up to 208.
Six Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and five are receiving care outside the region.
Nine Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
More than 164,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Friday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
