All public library branches in Bruce County are opening up to residents at reduced capacity for indoor use, with the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library opening up July 6.
Opening as of July 5, a release notes, the Bruce branches will allow for 25 per cent capacity to browse indoors and to use the computers.
The Owen Sound and North Grey Union Library, following capacity requirements set by the province, will ask visitors to limit their stay to 30 minutes. Computer use is also limited with residents suggested to book ahead to use.
Upon the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Library opening, the facility will be conducting contact tracing. The library boardroom as well as the auditorium will not be available for bookings.
Once service become normalized, the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Library will continue to adjust to support residents using the facility safely.
When inside, residents are asked to wear their masks and maintain their physical distancing.
For those who would prefer the stay outside, the Bruce libraries will continue to offer curbside pickup and can be requested by calling, emailing, or using the curbside pickup form through the library’s website. The Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library however, discontinued their service as of June 30.
To make returns, the Bruce library book drop is available and a bin will be provided during branch hours to make return larger items.
