The former Director of Strategic Initiatives for Saugeen Shores is changing jobs but doesn’t have far to go to her new office.
Jessica Linthorne is the new Director of the Clean Energy Frontier program for the Nuclear Innovation Institute (NII).
The town hall, where she previously worked, is a neighbour of NII located in the former police station.
The Clean Energy Frontier program is an advocacy, awareness-raising and economic development program led by Bruce Power and Bruce County, operating within the NII.
It focuses on promoting the valuable contribution that Bruce, Grey and Huron bring to Ontario and Canada in the drive towards a net-zero future, while building on the region’s advantages in clean energy.
President and CEO of NII Bruce Wallace says in a release, “Jessica will be a great asset to our team at NII. She is a talented innovator and her deep connections to the region will benefit the Clean Energy Frontier and its partners.”
Linthorne says she’s looking forward to working “in partnership with local leaders, industry stakeholders and the team at NII to ensure Ontarians have the opportunity to learn about and act on clean energy initiatives.”
Linthorne replaces Chad Richards, former Director of the Clean Energy Frontier program.
Richards is moving to a new role within NII, details of which will be announced shortly.
