The South Bruce OPP has laid over 100 charges over the Canada Day Road Safety Week campaign.
A release notes the program ran from June 26 to July 4 and officers were on the look out impaired driving, distracted driving, aggressive driving, and failing to wear a seatbelt, or what the OPP refer to as the Big Four.
Among the charges laid were:
-114 speeding charges
-three stunt driving charges
-three distracted driving charges
-one driver for failing to wear a seatbelt
-one impaired driver charged while another faced a three-day suspension
OPP note during the campaign, South Bruce officers investigated 13 motor vehicle collisions, with non-life threatening injuries reported at one of the sites.
