The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports 18 new Covid cases in the region on Sunday.
According to Public Health, seven residents from Owen Sound, seven from Saugeen Shores, one from South Bruce Peninsula, one from North Bruce Peninsula, one from Grey Highlands, and one from Chatsworth tested positive.
With 22 previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load goes down to 195.
Nine Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and five are receiving care outside the region.
Nine Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
More than 190,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Saturday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Sunday.
