There’s been a bit of a building spurt in Arran-Elderslie this year.
According to a report from Chief Building Official Patrick Johnston, presented to council on July 12th, 96 permits have been issued year-to-date compared to 58, the year before.
However, 2020 it’s believed the figures were down because of the Covid pandemic.
To date in 2021, there have been 22 new residential dwellings and 18 new agricultural barns, which represents 76% of the total construction value of just over 17-million-dollars.
