The Grey Bruce Health Unit reports eight new Covid cases in the region on Saturday.
According to Public Health, two residents in Owen Sound, two in Georgian Bluffs, two in Meaford, one in Grey Highlands, and one in Northern Bruce Peninsula tested positive.
With 23 previous cases now resolved, the region’s active known case load goes down to 132.
Four Grey Bruce residents are hospitalized locally and one is receiving care outside the region.
13 Grey Bruce residents have died from the virus over the course of the pandemic.
More than 209,000 Covid vaccine doses have been administered in the region to date.
The testing and case counts data released by the health unit on Saturday is reflective of a 24-hour period prior to 11:59 p.m. Friday.
