The Grey Bruce Health Unit is confirming the region is no longer deemed a Covid hot spot.
In a release, the health unit says the area is provincially recognized, as this as is due to residents coming together to bring the cases down.
Should the weekly pattern of new cases continue its downward trend or remain stable over the long weekend, the health unit will be in a preferable situation to launching into step three of reopening.
Until that time, residents are asked to continue as they are to limit the spread of Covid.
This follows a previous report of the health unit learning a lot from experiencing the delta variant.
They continue to promote everyone in the region to receive their vaccine and get protected.
