Grey Bruce OPP say a Georgian Bluffs resident is facing charges after failing to stay after two collisions.
According to police, on Aug. 23 around 3 p.m., OPP, Grey County EMS and the Inter Township Fire department responded to a collision involving a cyclist on Grey Road 1 near Indian Acres Road where a vehicle had collided into the biker and left the scene.
The cyclist was brought to a hospital with serious non-life threatening injuries.
Later at around 3:30 p.m., OPP believe the same vehicle was involved in another crash with a stationary motor vehicle on Balmy Beach Road, where the driver fled once again. No injuries were reported.
As a result, the 79-year-old accused is facing failing to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm, failing to stop after accident, careless driving causing bodily harm, and careless driving.
The accused is set to appear in court on Oct. 7 in Owen Sound.
