Hundreds of residences and businesses in Bruce County remain without power after Tuesday’s severe storm.
According to Hydro One, there are still some isolated outages around Mildmay, Lucknow, and Lurgan Beach which aren’t expected to be restored until around 4 p.m. Thursday afternoon.
In its latest update, Westario Power advises service has been restored to many of the areas affected by Tuesday’s severe weather but crews are still working on restoration for some.
Approximately 50 customers in the Lustig Lane/Elgin Street area of Port Elgin are without power due to pole and line damage. Estimated restoration for those customers is about noon Thursday.
Westario Power says about 200 customers in Southampton, north of the Saugeen River, are still in the dark and likely won’t have power restored until about 3 p.m. Thursday.
Meanwhile, ground teams from the Northern Tornadoes Project continue to survey damage in the region from Tuesday’s severe weather but have yet to make any preliminary assessments.
