Pumpkinfest 2021 is set for October 2nd & 3rd in Saugeen Shores.
The festival will have a live audience rather be conducted as a ” virtual ” event
Ann Marie Collins, the Marketing Coordinator for Pumpkinfest relates the possibility of having Pumpkinfest be virtual again was not being warmly received and thankfully restrictions were lifted to a certain extent.
Collins relates there are only 5,000 people allowed in Pumpkinfest Village at any given time and that number is reduced to 4,000 at the Car Show.
While the numbers are limited and smaller than what normally would be attracted, Collins states the fact that people can get out an enjoy the fun and the spectacle of Pumpkinfest is uplifting.
Pumpkinfest will be staged October 2nd & 3rd with the Gates opening October 2nd at 10 a.m.
The opening day features the Bruce Power Giant Vegetable Weigh Off.
Collins states the expectation is that the previous champions and perennial contenders for heaviest pumpkin and largest vegetable will be on hand.
