The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is holding an art fundraising show and sale to support regional artists and the gallery.
A release notes, the Northern Lights Art Show & Sale initiative features artwork from 27 contemporary Ontario artists in a both virtual and physical viewings.
Owen Sound Mayor Ian Boddy says, “there is a wonderful range of artwork and subject matter; truly something for everyone. This is a great opportunity to support the TOM and the many artists who contributed work to the Show & Sale.”
Northern Lights is available for viewing until Oct. 9 in the Gallery space, as well as online through to Oct. 16.
Gallery Director and Chief Curator Aidan Ware says, “the northern lights offer us a glimpse at the creative universe and so, we could think of no better title and premise for curating an exhibition that features the artistic lights in our region and beyond. The artists featured in this art show and sale have been selected for their important contribution to contemporary art in Ontario. We are thrilled to present their compelling and diverse narratives in this format and to offer the public a chance to build their personal collection.
Viewing’s and digital purchases can be done through the gallery’s digital portal and in person.
