The Township of Georgian Bluffs is asking residents for their input in the 2022 Budget Survey.
Georgian Bluffs Director of Finance Kassandra Rocca says council and senior staff are looking to get some feedback from residents on what the township is doing right with capital and operating spending, along with where improvements can be made.
“The budget is a really big undertaking for council and staff, so it has a big impact on the public,” says Rocca. “We just want their feedback on it.”
The survey asks residents how they would rate the current services they are getting in relation to the tax dollars being collected, as well as the current status of local roads and parks. It also asks residents where they feel their money would best be directed, and what services they’re looking to get from the township.
Rocca says once the survey closes at noon on Oct. 29, they will collect the responses and put them into a report to bring to council sometime in November.
“It will be used in determining capital projects and where capital funds should be spent in 2022,” she says.
Rocca says while no date has been set as of yet, they hope to present the 2022 draft budget in December.
Only residents of Georgian Bluffs will be allowed to take part, and the survey can either completed online or by requesting a physical copy at the township office.
