The Municipality of Kincardine has appointed an Acting Chief Administrative Officer to start next week.
A release notes, the municipality appointed the Director of Corporate Services Roxana Baumann and she is to assume the role on Oct. 12.
This follows after Sharon Chambers announced her resignation from the CAO position last month, to take on a new role with the Township of Wilmot.
In response to Chambers’ resignation, Mayor Gerry Glover thanked Chambers on behalf of council and staff for her leadership over the past four years, and especially during the pandemic.
Baumann initially joined Kincardine in 2012 as the Director of Finance/Treasurer.
Glover says he welcomes Roxana into her new role as acting CAO.
“I have every confidence in Roxana’s abilities to lead the municipality forward in this transition period,” says Glover.
