The Grey Bruce Health Unit is arranging to bring the GO-VAXX bus to Durham and Ripley in a few days.
The mobile vaccination bus service was introduced over the summer by the Ontario government in partnership with Metrolinx, as part of the province’s last mile strategy for people to get their shots.
Two temporarily revamped GO buses are wheelchair accessible and equipped to serve as mobile vaccine clinics to administer first and second doses.
The bus will be stationed at the Durham Community Centre on Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Oct. 25, it will be at the Ripley Community Centre from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
No appointments are needed and only those born in 2009 and earlier are eligible to get their shot.
Those planning on visiting the buses for vaccination, must bring their health card or other form of photo-ID.
