The Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation is launching a new fundraising lottery to help purchase a CT scanner.
This lottery is a follow up after the hospital foundation started its public launch of a $3 million CT scanner fundraising campaign.
The $3 million would cover the cost of purchasing the CT scanner, its software and minor renovations to accommodate it.
The “Experience This” lottery will be running from November to mid-February, with an early bird draw set in January, according to a release.
Local nuclear supplier company Laurentis is supporting the lottery, and Vice President of Laurentis Energy Partners Jason Van Wart says they are honoured to be able to support the foundation’s CT scanner campaign and lottery.
“We all need to do what we can to support. I would encourage all other local suppliers and nuclear partners to come together and donate to the Saugeen Memorial Hospital Foundation CT Scanner project in whatever capacity you can, so that the hospital and the community can get the equipment they wholeheartedly need and deserve, especially through these unprecedented times,” says Van Wart.
