Thousands of residents in Grey, Bruce and Huron are without power today following yesterday’s heavy windstorm.
Hydro One indicates workers are out in the field assessing the damages.
According to Hydro One, the strong wind gusts reached over 100 kilometres per hour, resulting in broken poles and trees landing on power lines.
While most of the region does not have an estimated time of restoration, areas around Goderich have been given a time of later this evening, between 5 p.m. and 11 p.m.
