Owen Sound police have charged a driver after a collision sent a car off the road where it collided with a church.
City police say it happened yesterday afternoon 10th Street west and 3rd Avenue.
Police say a westbound Lexus SUV went through a red light and collided with a Hyundai Venue that was heading north with a green light.
According to police, the Hyundai was hit with such force, it was launched off the road, eventually coming to rest up against the stairs of Central West Side Church.
Owen Sound firefighters had to extricate the driver from the Hyundai which had extensive damage.
Both involved drivers were transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Damage to the church was also minor.
The driver of the Lexus was charged with failing to stop at a red light.
