The Tom Thomson Art Gallery is celebrating a successful calendar campaign by donating calendars to 19 local long-term care homes in the region.
The gallery says they have been able to raise over $25,000 through their 2022 campaign for their exhibitions and programming.
The gallery says the pandemic has been a challenging time for those who live in seniors’ homes and the Tom is asking staff from these long-term care homes to distribute these calendars to support ongoing programs for residents.
In addition, residents of seniors’ homes have also been invited to arrange a tour to visit the works and the gallery.
The 2022 calendars feature 13 Tom Thomson paintings which are part of the permanent collection at the gallery.
Anyone interested in purchasing a calendar can buy one from the gallery’s website or by visiting them in person.
