Collingwood and The Blue Mountains OPP say a cyclist has been pronounced deceased following a collision.
Police say they are investigating the fatal collision between a bicycle and a motorcycle on Highway 26 in The Blue Mountains.
Around 9:30 a.m. on May 9, police say the OPP responded to the collision at Grey Road 113, where the cyclist was transported to a local hospital by ambulance and was pronounced deceased.
Police say the name of the deceased has not yet been released to allow for family notification.
The collision resulted in the closure of the road for a number of hours, and Highway 26 has since reopened.
Central Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision investigators and reconstructionists attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has dashcam footage and has not yet spoken with officers to call the Collingwood and Blue Mountains OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
