Grey Bruce OPP say two people from Meaford are facing charges following the execution of a search warrant.
Police say on May 11, the Grey Bruce OPP Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), with the assistance of the Wellington County CSCU, Huron Perth CSCU and the OPP West Region Emergency Response team, executed a search warrant on a property in the municipality of Meaford.
OPP say as a result of the investigation, a 43 year old was arrested and charged with possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking and unauthorized possession of a weapon.
Police also charged an 18-year-old with possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking, possession cannabis for the purpose of selling, and possession for the purpose of distributing.
OPP add a search of the property resulted in the seizure of suspected controlled substances, offence related property and a weapon, valuing over $32,000.
Police say both of the accused were released and will appear in court in Owen Sound at a later date.
