An annual golf tournament hosted by the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation is raising $94,000.
The 31st annual Charity Golf Classic was held on June 3 and had 144 golfers participating and raising funds for the foundation.
The funds were raised through golf registrations, sponsorships, donors, and an online auction, all in support of the event.
Chair of the organizing committee Denise Reid says they are thrilled to have raised $94,000 in support of healthcare in the community.
“Thanks to all of our golfers, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who helped make the day an amazing success,” says Reid.
CEO of the foundation Amy McKinnon adds, “what a fantastic day of golf in support of a great cause.”
The foundation says since the Charity Golf Classic’s creation, it has raised over $1.5 million to support the purchase of new medical equipment for the Owen Sound Regional Hospital.
