Owen Sound plays a starring role in an upcoming indie-horror movie that’s creating buzz at film festivals.
Cult Hero stars Liv Collins as a local real estate agent who teams with a washed up cult buster (played by Ry Barrett) to rescue her husband from a cannibalistic cult that is masquerading as a New Age wellness retreat.
The movie is scheduled to make its world premiere at the Fantasia International Film Festival in Montreal on July 30th.
Director Jesse Cook stated in a post on Facebook that the film would be screened at the Roxy Theatre in January of 2023.
