The City of Owen Sound is seeking input from residents as it develops an updated Waste Management Strategy.
The city says the strategy will provide direction on how the municipality can manage garbage, recycling, and other waste diversion programs in the area.
It will look at new approaches to waste services that can support a sustainable environment, and attempt to divert more waste from landfills.
The strategy will also place an emphasis on waste reduction, reusing and recycling activities which are environmentally sustainable and cost effective.
