The City of Owen Sound is mourning the passing of a former City Manager, Jim Harrold.
The city says Harrold passed on July 27.
Harrold was the Vice Chair of the board for the Tom Thomson Art Gallery for seven years, before becoming the Academic and Campus Director for Georgian College’s Owen Sound campus. He would then go to serve as the City Manager from 2007 to 2010.
Flags will be lowered to half mast on Aug. 3 at city hall in Harrold’s honour.
Mayor Ian Boddy says, “on behalf of my colleges, staff and the residents of the city, I offer my condolences to his family members and friends.”
