A few municipal buildings in Bruce County have been approved for new key fob systems.
On Thursday, council approved an amendment to the 2022 budget to make the funding available, totalling $260,000.
A bulk of the building upgrades will be for the Inland Hub building in Walkerton, where 42 doors need to have key fob access.
According to a release from the county, the estimated project scope, including I.T. requirements:
Inland Hub (Walkerton)
– 42 doors to be fobbed, $166,500
Lakeshore Hub (Port Elgin)
– 3 doors to be fobbed, $26,300
Peninsula Hub (Wiarton)
– 6 doors to be fobbed, $36,500
Atrium office renovation, $20,000
