Grey Bruce OPP say a driver from the Township of Southgate is facing numerous charges after failing to remain at the scene of a fatal collision in Grey Highlands.
Police say on July 19 around 10:06 p.m., the OPP, Grey Highlands Fire Department, and Grey County EMS, responded to a report of a collision involving a motor vehicle and four pedestrians on Inkerman Street in Grey Highlands.
OPP say one involved pedestrian was pronounced deceased after lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful. The deceased has been identified as 44-year-old Kevin Walsh of Blue Mountains.
Police say they have arrested and charged the 27-year-old driver with failing to stop at an accident resulting in death, three counts of failing to stop at an accident resulting in bodily harm, careless driving causing death, and three counts of careless driving causing bodily harm.
The accused has been released and given a court date in Owen Sound.
