Grey Bruce OPP say an arrest has been made after stolen property was recovered less than 13 hours after it was reported.
Police say on Aug. 30 at 7:14 a.m., the South Bruce OPP responded to a report of a break and enter at a business along Queen Street in Kincardine.
OPP say that afternoon, members from the community street crimes unit executed a search warrant at a property on South Street in the municipality. During the search, a quantity of property stolen from the break and enter was recovered.
At 7:32 p.m., police say the suspect was found in the downtown area and was placed under arrest by the community street crimes unit and South Bruce OPP.
OPP say a 27-year-old from Kincardine is being charged with breaking and entering, failing to comply with an undertaking, theft over $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 both in and outside Canada, and failing to comply with a probation order.
Police say the accused was held pending bail hearing in Walkerton on Aug. 31.
