Grey Bruce OPP say a Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation resident is facing multiple charges following a complaint of threats.
OPP say on Sept. 12 at 1:15 p.m., members from the Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police responded to a threats report on Lakeshore Boulevard in Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation.
Police say the suspect was located and placed under arrest.
Later on Sept. 13, OPP say police executed a search warrant at a residence in relation to this investigation, and as a result, they seized several firearms and a quantity of ammunition.
The 68-year-old accused is being charged with uttering threats, two counts of careless storage of a firearm, weapon, prohibited device or ammunition, and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The accused was held pending a bail hearing, where they were remanded into custody.
Neyaashiinigmiing First Nation Police remind firearm owners they are required to ensure they are properly storing their firearms and ammunition according to regulations.
