Bruce County is launching its next round of spark mentorship and grants program in support of entrepreneurs, small businesses, and non-profit organizations.
The county says the program seeks to help create new sustainable tourism ideas in the region by providing selected applicants with a $3,000 grant, mentorship, and assistance to help get people started.
Organizers are looking for suitable tourism ideas to enhance what the county currently offers, by creating high-quality and low impact experiences that address gaps in tourism services.
The spark program is a result of a partnership between the county, Bruce Power, Regional Tourism Organization 7, and the Tourism Innovation Lab.
County Warden Janice Jackson says, “Bruce County is proud to offer mentorship and grants to innovative entrepreneurs thanks to spark. Bruce County’s spark project aims to encourage entrepreneurs who want to offer sustainable tourism experiences.”
Applications will be accepted between Sept. 13 and Oct. 20.
Following a review process, finalists will be invited to a pitch session, and three winners will be selected.
