The Paramedic Ride is making its way up to Tobermory today as part of a four-day cycling trek commemorating paramedics who lost their lives in the line of duty.
Bruce County says the ride, featuring 50 cyclists and five ambulances representing paramedic services across Ontario, travelled from Windsor to Tobermory from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3.
The ride made its way through Kincardine on Oct. 2 around noon, and ended in Port Elgin around 3:30 p.m.
Then on Oct. 3, the ride will take participants from Port Elgin at 8 a.m. to Tobermory around 4:30 p.m.
The funds raised through this ride will support the Canadian Paramedic Memorial Foundation, Boots on the Ground, and Camp F.A.C.E.S (through the Canadian Critical Incident Stress Foundation).
As of Oct. 2, the ride has raised over $17,000.
