The Municipality of Brockton is bringing on a new Director of Operations.
Nicholas Schnurr will be assuming the role at the end of October and comes to the municipality from the County of Bruce, where he was the Engineering Technologist in the Transportation and Environmental Services Department.
The municipality says Schnurr has knowledge around engineering principles of managing highway and bridge construction projects, and the skills needed to assess engineering and construction issues.
“I am very pleased, on behalf of Brockton council and staff to welcome Nicholas as the incoming Director of Operations. Nicholas’s County of Bruce and Ministry of Transportation experience coupled with his background in transportation along with project management and local knowledge will make him well positioned to lead his department,” says Mayor Chris Peabody.
Schnurr adds he is excited about the opportunity.
“I look forward to my career with Brockton. This new challenge will provide me with an opportunity to expand my knowledge of their Operations Department while focusing on providing high quality services to the community,” says Schnurr.
